Once upon a time in the corner of a beautiful crib sat a soft and delicate little bunny, observing the magical relationship that bonds a precious baby to its mother. The little bunny admired their intimacy and began to imagine how beautiful it would be if that intimacy could be reflected in their clothing.

That fairytale began to unfold in Paris, France in 2011, the year of the Rabbit according to the Chinese zodiac calendar. It was also the year designer, Dallana Bayarri, gave birth to her adorable little daughter, Mila. Mila is short for the Spanish word milagro, which translated to English means miracle, and pinou is French for little bunny.

So the MILAPINOU brand was born, both as a celebration of new life and of the fertility and prosperity represented by the “little bunny” of the zodiac. As if touched by the wand of a magical “tailor” fairy, after graduating from Atelier Chardon Savard in Paris in 2008, Dallana’s story continues. From the wonderful experience of working with one of today’s most renowned designers, Karl Lagerfeld, to Lovemilla, Shyde and CdeC, her career has taken off like a shooting star.

Today as a young mother, she has a new vision and inspiration… the creation of designs appropriate for the new mom and her baby, as well as designs for mom’s-to-be. Clothing that is tailor-made with true style and functionality (i.e. breastfeeding).

Using a wide variety of natural fibers, organic fabrics and dyes from various plants to protect the environment, along with special touches, such as embroidery made by the hands of the artisan women of her beloved Mexico, Dallana creates designs that transform the women who wear them into little woodland nymphs ready to run through the forest.

A touch of vintage, with the hippy spirit of the 60’s and 70’s. A romantic blend of Renaissance and Woodstock. This is MILAPINOU.
